Pacifica Christian Earns Historic Sweep Over CVCS — First Win Since 2019

The drought is over.

For the first time since 2019, the Pacifica Christian girls volleyball team defeated league rival Capistrano Valley Christian (CVCS), sweeping the Eagles in dominant fashion on Thursday night.  The Tritons delivered a statement performance on the road court, taking the match in straight sets: 25-20, 25-14, 25-18.

From the opening serve, Pacifica played with energy and composure, refusing to let CVCS gain momentum. Setter Addie Roberson orchestrated the offense with precision, tallying 22 assists while also anchoring the defense with 20 digs, showcasing her all-around impact.

Outside hitter Emma Hartman was unstoppable at the net, recording 12 kills along with 10 digs for a double-double performance. Kaitlyn Woods provided key scoring support with seven kills and a solo block, helping Pacifica maintain control throughout each set.

Defensively, the Tritons were relentless. Emery Heal led the back row with 16 digs, while Charlotte Booth added 11 digs, repeatedly extending rallies and frustrating CVCS hitters.

Not only did Pacifica avenge years of close battles, but they did so decisively, never allowing CVCS to reach 20 points after the opening set. From start to finish, the Tritons played with confidence, chemistry, and belief.

Next match: The Tritons will look to carry this momentum into their upcoming league games as they travel to Southlands on Tuesday October 7th and then host Western Christian on Friday October 10th at 6:00pm.
