Tritons Rally Back to Win Bronze at Portola Tournament

The Pacifica Christian girls volleyball team battled through adversity at the Portola Tournament, bouncing back from a tough start to claim the Bronze Bracket championship under first-year head coach Madison Haugh.

The Tritons opened pool play against strong competition, dropping their first two matches to University High and Beckman High. But instead of letting early losses define their day, the Tritons regrouped and surged through the bracket with three straight victories, defeating Ayala, Woodbridge, and Calvary Chapel Santa Ana to bring home the bronze.

It was a defining moment early in the season for the Tritons, who showed resilience and poise in turning things around. With the Bronze Bracket title secured, Pacifica Christian now enters the rest of the season with momentum and growing confidence in their ability to compete against strong programs.

They will have their home opener in the Triton Event Center this Tuesday August 19th against Calvary Chapel Santa Ana at 6:00pm.
