Girls Volleyball Swept Southlands, on a Five Game Winning Streak

Pacifica Christian Girls Volleyball is on a five-game winning streak, dating back to August 28th beating Immaculate Heart, TVT, Samueli Academy, TVT, and Southlands Christian. Thursday evening the Orange and Navy hosted Southlands Christian where the Tritons beat the Eagles 3-0, 25-17, 25-18, and 25-12 in their first league matchup. The Tritons are now 11-6 overall and remain undefeated in the San Joaquin League.

The Tritons dominated from the beginning, not letting the Eagles have any form of momentum in any of the three sets. Senior captain Kaelin Rieke led the team with eight kills, including the winning kill in the second set, while Junior setter Addie Roberson had 20 assists. Senior libero Charlotte Carlson was very busy on defense with 12 digs, while Junior Sophia Bone was dominant from behind the service line with six aces. With seven games left in the season, the Tritons are led by Senior Chara Wondercheck who has tallied 95 kills this year and has played a huge role offensively. Emma Hartman and Kaelin Rieke have also been a force offensively, with 69 and 51 kills respectively.

The Orange and Navy will have next week off as all of the Pacifica Christian student body will be away on the All-School Retreat. They will host Western Christian in a league matchup on Tuesday, September 24th at 5:30 pm in the Triton Event Center.
