Wondercheck Ranked #14 in Southern Section for 100M Hurdles

Junior Charis Wondercheck keeps shattering school records and continues to make a name for herself in the high school track world. Wondercheck posted a 15.52 second run in the 100M hurdles during the Trabuco Hills Invitational last week.

For the first time in her racing career, Wondercheck has been ranked #14 in the Southern Section Rankings, across all Divisions. This places the junior 34th in the whole state of California in 100M hurdles. In addition to this honor, Wondercheck was invited to compete at the Arcadia Invitational, an elite high school invitational. She is the first Pacifica Christian Athlete to be accepted into this meet, with 29 different states represented among the 620 schools entered.

"Charis is beyond running for school records," remarks head coach Josh Espinoza. "She's paving the way for future high-caliber track athletes who desire a higher level of competition within Pacifica with her mindset, work ethic, and sheer passion for running."
