Girls’ Tennis Battles Hard in Season Finale Against Fairmont Prep

In an intense and emotional showdown yesterday, the Triton girls’ varsity tennis team faced off against Fairmont Prep in the final match of the regular season. After hours of competitive play, the Tritons came up just short, falling 70–72 in games to one of the closest matches of the year.

From the very first serve, both teams displayed outstanding skill and determination. The Triton singles players showed grit and consistency, pushing several matches to tiebreaks and keeping the energy high throughout the afternoon. Doubles teams also delivered standout performances, demonstrating sharp teamwork and great court awareness under pressure.

Despite the narrow loss, the match marked a proud conclusion to an incredible season. With the result, the Orange and Navy team finishes in a tie for the league title with Fairmont Prep, a testament to the players’ commitment, improvement, and unity all season long.

Coach Jenn praised the team’s resilience, saying, “They all fought like it was their last match. I saw a different version of them yesterday, a version that I loved, and I'm excited to see that come out in the end of season tournaments."

As the season wraps up, the girls can hold their heads high knowing they’ve made school history, winning three league titles in the last four years. Congratulations to the entire team on an exceptional year!
