Pacifica Christian Girls Soccer Delivers Resilient and Memorable 2025–26 Campaign
The Pacifica Christian girls soccer team put together an impressive and resilient 2025–26 season, finishing with a 15–4–2 overall record and establishing itself as one of the top teams in the San Joaquin League.
The Tritons went 3–3 in league play, tying for second place with Western Christian in a competitive league race. Throughout the season, Pacifica Christian consistently rose to the challenge, blending strong defensive performances with timely scoring in key moments.
One of the highlights of the year came in tournament play, as the Tritons competed in the Best in the West Tournament and posted a strong 4–1 record. Among their most notable results was a hard-fought 2–2 draw against Corona del Mar, a match that showcased Pacifica Christian's ability to compete with top-tier programs.
The defining moment of the season came on January 16 in a dramatic road match at Western Christian. Trailing 1–0 with less than 15 minutes remaining and playing a player down with just 10 on the field, the Tritons refused to back down. Caroline Morehouse delivered a heroic performance, scoring two goals within a 10 minute span to lift Pacifica Christian to a stunning comeback victory. The win stood as a testament to the team's grit, belief, and composure under pressure.
Defensively, the Tritons were outstanding all season, recording 12 shutouts. Their organization and discipline at the back provided the foundation for much of their success and allowed them to stay competitive in every match they played.
Senior leadership played a pivotal role in the Tritons' strong season. Vanguard University committ Lucy Cuevas, Audrina Bonilla, Kenna Smith, and Biola University committ Emalee Hernandez each made significant contributions, setting the tone both on and off the field. Their experience, leadership, and consistency helped guide the team through tight league battles and high-stakes matches.
With the regular season complete, Pacifica Christian now awaits the CIF postseason. CIF brackets will be released Saturday at 10 a.m., with the Tritons anticipated to be placed in either Division 4 or Division 5. The first round set to be February 12.
