Pacifica Christian Surf Team Joins Sunset League

Pacifica Christian is pleased to announce the joining of the Sunset Surfing League for the upcoming 2023-2024 school year. Based out of Surf City USA, and known as one of the most prominent surf leagues in the country, it will be a big test for the Tritons, who return their entire team this upcoming season.

Pacifica Christian, being the only private school in the league, will face powerhouse programs such as Edison, Newport Harbor, and Huntington Beach High School, which claimed a National Title in 2018. Fountain Valley and Marina round out the league with six schools. The league will run from early September to the middle of December, with the Orange and Navy's first competition being Thursday, September 7 vs Newport Harbor at 54th Street in Newport Beach.

"I am really excited about this new opportunity for our surf program", stated Director of Athletics & Student Life Brandon Gonzalez. "I want to thank Head Coach David Nehrig for his hard work and dedication in pursuing this opportunity for our program. The Sunset Surfing League will bring long-term stability and growth to Pacifica Christian Surfing."
