Bio

Coach Parker Mindel is excited to begin his second year coaching with Pacifica Christian Cross Country. Originally from Louisville Kentucky, Parker received his B.A. in Bible, Theology & Ministry at Biola University, where he signed to run Cross Country and Track and Field.
 
Parker is currently on staff at Pacifica Christian in the admissions office, and he loves sharing Pacifica’s mission of teaching students to think and live well with prospective families. As coaching presents opportunities for discipleship, spiritual formation, and development, Parker is thrilled to both work and coach at a Christ-centered, liberal arts school as special as Pacifica. In his free time, you can find him hanging out with his lovely wife Jenna, running in local parks, reading in a coffee shop, developing 35mm film photos, or watching a movie with his friends.

What is your favorite dessert?

You get to play your sport with a legend from the game, living or dead. Who are you playing with?

I would love to hit the track with Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone. I deeply admire her boldness in sharing the Gospel at the highest possible platform!

What is your go to karaoke song?

I typically don't sing... But recently I was roped into singing "Doo Wop (That Thing)" by Ms. Lauryn Hill in front of my coworkers. So maybe that?

Would you rather be able to speak in any human language or communicate with all animals and why?

Speak in any human language. I don't think I want to know what any animal has to say about me.

Do you have any pre game supsersititons, either as a coach or a player?

Personally, I always need to lay on the ground, listen to music, and breathe slowly before a race
