Tritons Sweep Huskies for First League Win
Boys Volleyball had their second home game of the season Friday evening as they hosted Fairmont Prep in their first league meeting of the 2025 year. The Tritons swept the visiting Huskies, improving their overall record to 8-12 and 1-3 in the San Joaquin League. The team beat the Huskies 25-17, 25-23, and 25-19. The Orange and Navy have six games remaining, four of them being against league opponents.
This would be only the second game this season where the Tritons would have their full roster as setter Joaquin Rigdon has been serving his sit out period up until March 22. Rigdon a junior transfer has made an immediate impact on the court, playing at a high level and distributing the ball well on offense. Senior outside Hudson Reynolds continues to be a strong hitter for the Tritons as well as sophomore middle Kallai Kumar and senior opposite Reed Cleary. Defensively seniors Devin Wang and Tyler Zafra have been steady in the back row.
The Tritons took control of the game and never trailed the Huskies at any point. The Orange and Navy have a nonleague matchup against Sage Hill on Monday on the road and then will host CVCS on Friday at 6:00 pm. The following week they will host San Gabriel Academy on 4/9 and Samueli Academy on 4/11 which will be senior night.
