Tritons Break Records and Find Success at League Finals

Pacifica Christian High School's track and field team showcased an exceptional performance at today's league finals. The Tritons gave it their all and achieved some amazing results! The girls' and boys' teams clinched third place overall and brought home numerous personal and school records, solidifying their position as formidable contenders in the league.

The squad celebrated a total of 16 personal records set, proving once again that practice and perseverance pay off. Among these achievements were three new school records, a testament to the talent, coaching, and commitment within the Pacifica Christian track and field program.

Individual league champions emerged from Pacifica Christian, further highlighting the team's solid performance. Aiden Hart demonstrated his dominance in the hurdles, claiming victory in both the 110-meter hurdles and the 300-meter hurdles. Peter Cao exhibited his versatility and endurance by securing first place in the 1600-meter and 800-meter races. Ella Murray showcased her remarkable distance running abilities, earning the title of league champion in the 3200-meter event.

The team's success extended beyond the league finals, with several athletes qualifying for the CIF championships. Aidan, Peter, Ella, and Ashley Gundlach emerged as standout performers, securing their spots in multiple events. The boys' relay team in the 4x400 meters and the girls' 4x400-meter relay team also earned their place among CIF qualifiers.

As they prepare to compete at the CIF championships, the orange & navy carry with them the momentum of their impressive performance at the league finals. With their sights set on further achievements, they continue to exemplify the values of dedication, perseverance, and teamwork that define their athletic program.

CIF Prelims will take place on Saturday, May 4 at Carpinteria High School.
