Pacifica Christian Boys Soccer Claims Back-to-Back League Titles in Strong Season

The Pacifica Christian boys soccer team delivered another standout season in 2025, capturing its second consecutive league championship and finishing with an impressive 12–2–1 overall record. The Tritons went 4–2 in the San Joaquin League, tying with Samueli Academy for first place.

Their defining moment came on January 30, when Pacifica Christian defeated Western Christian 2–1 to clinch the league title, a hard-fought win that showcased the team's composure and determination in a pressure-filled match. This was also a special moment as Head Coach Johnny Marmelstein recorded his 550th career win

A key storyline this season was the emergence of freshman Dean Soldan, who quickly established himself as a standout contributor. Soldan's impact was felt across the field, as his energy, skill, and confidence played a major role in the Tritons' success and signaled a bright future for the program.

Junior midfielder Jacob Coleman served as a steady and reliable presence in the offense, helping control possession and create scoring opportunities throughout the season. His consistency in the midfield anchored Pacifica Christian's attacking flow and provided balance to the Tritons' game. On the defensive end, Jonas Packiam was a cornerstone, delivering strong, disciplined performances that helped limit opponents' chances and protect leads in crucial matches.

In goal, Kasper Batley was nothing short of dominant, recording nine shutouts on the season. His shot-stopping ability and command of the back line proved instrumental in Pacifica Christian's defensive success and were a major factor in the team's championship run.

With the regular season complete, the Tritons now turn their focus to the CIF playoffs. CIF brackets are set to be released Saturday at 10 a.m., with Pacifica Christian anticipated to be placed in either Division 7 or Division 8.
