Boy’s Beach Sweep Crean Lutheran in First Match
The Pacifica Christian Boy's Beach Volleyball Team kicked off their season Thursday afternoon as they faced off against the Saints of Crean Lutheran. The Tritons, led by Evan Fredericks went 7-0 on the day winning all their doubles matches and the 4v4 match. The Orange and Navy are now 1-0 on the season.
The squad was led by Seniors Matthew MacPherson and Christian Hahne who played in the 1s match. MacPherson and Hahne have proven to be dominant out on the court and showed that on Thursday. They won their match in two sets, winning 21-7 and 21-12. Another power duo on the sand was Junior Callen Bray and Sophomore Hudson Reynolds who won their match in two sets as well. Finishing things out in the doubles category were Senior Bryce Wang and Junior Ethan Shumlas who battled it out, winning two out of three sets. MacPherson, Hahne, Bray, Reynolds, and Wang all participated in the 4v4 match where they beat the Saints 21-18.
"The boys played some amazing volleyball today!" remarks Head Coach Evan Fredericks "I am looking forward to the rest of the season and hopefully some more wins in the future!"
The Tritons will play their next match on Thursday, September 29 against Orange Lutheran at Newland Street in Huntington Beach.
