Baseball picks up first win of the season
On Friday afternoon the Pacifica Christian Baseball team picked up their first win of the 2024-2025 season, beating Sage Hill 4-1 on the road. This is Coach Beau Amaral's first win as the Head Coach for the Orange and Navy. After losing to the Lightning just over a week ago, the Tritons redeemed themselves as they jumped out to the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Jude Dravecky doubled, scoring two runs, and Luke Miller singled, scoring one run.
Keegan DeMots stepped on the mound first for the Tritons. The starter surrendered six hits and one run (zero earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking one. Freshman Carter Canada came in to relieve DeMots, facing eight batters and throwing two and one-third innings of scoreless ball for the Orange and Navy. The pitcher allowed zero hits, striking out two and walking none. Offensively the Tritons combined for eight hits across six different batters.
Dravecky drove the middle of the lineup, leading the squad with two runs batted in. Scout Escobedo and Luke Miller each collected two hits at the plate.
The Tritons have three home games this week, including Tuesday (3:00 pm) vs University, Friday (3:00 pm) vs Laguna Beach, and Saturday (11:00 am) vs Calvary Chapel.
