All Four Winter Sports Qualify for Post Season

As the winter sports have officially wrapped up the regular season, Pacifica Christian will send all four teams including Girl's Soccer, Boy's Soccer, Girl's Basketball, and Boys' Basketball to the post-season! 

Girls Soccer: 20-6-1

The Triton Girls Soccer program has secured a spot in the postseason for the first time since the 2019-2020 season. The team finished the year with a record of 20-6-1 and went 4-4 in the San Joaquin League. The Orange and Navy finished third in the league behind Fairmont Prep (6-2) and Western Christian (4-2-2) and in front of Webb (2-4-2) and CVCS (1-7). Fairmont Prep is ranked second in Division 4 while Western Christian is in Division 3. This is the most wins this program has ever had in a single season including a ten-game winning streak from December 12 - January 12. The Tritons are in CIF-SS Division 4 where brackets will be released on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00 am. The first round will be on Thursday, February 8th. 

Boys Soccer: 14-8-1

The Triton Boys Soccer program has secured a spot in the postseason after the most successful season in program history. The squad finished the year with an overall record of 14-8-1 and 11-4-1 in Academy League play. Out of a league of nine teams, the Orange and Navy finished tied for second place behind Samueli Academy (16-0) and San Gabriel Academy (11-4-1). This has been a record-breaking season for the Tritons, including the most wins in a single season. The Tritons are sitting in CIF-SS Division 7 where brackets will be released on Saturday, February 3 at 10:00 am. The first round will be on Wednesday, February 7th. 

Girls Basketball: 19-8

The Triton Girls Basketball team has secured a spot in the post-season for the sixth year in a row. The team finished the year 19-8 and went 2-4 in the San Joaquin League play. Out of a league of four teams, the Tritons finished third behind Open Division Orangewood Academy who went an undefeated 6-0, and Division 2AA Fairmont Prep who went 4-2. This season the Orange and Navy hosted the first ever Pacifica Christian Girls Basketball Showcase presented by Markwith Insurance where the Tritons beat Orange County powerhouse Los Alamitos 45-37. The Tritons played the toughest strength of schedule in program history this season. The team finished the season ranked 8th in CIF-SS Division 2A where brackets will be released on Sunday, February 4 at 12:30 pm.  The first round will be on Thursday, February 8th. 

Boys Basketball: 18-10 

The Triton Boys Basketball team has secured a spot in the postseason for the eighth year in a row, every year since the squad has competed at the varsity level. The Tritons finished the year 18-10 overall and went 7-1 in San Joaquin League play. Out of a league of five teams, the Orange and Navy clinched the outright league title, in front of Fairmont Prep who took second, finishing 6-2 in the league. The team earned their first back-to-back league title and for the third straight year played a top 25 strength of schedule in the state of California. The program beat Orange Lutheran for the third straight time as well as second-ranked team Modesto Christian (20-3)  from Northern California. The Tritons are now in CIF-SS Division 1 where the brackets will be released on Sunday, February 4 at noon. The team will host the first round on Wednesday, February 7th.
